New school models

WHY

Our public K–12 and higher education models are antiquated. Our kids are being left behind with models that don’t work.

We need room to try radically different approaches.

New school models and novel approaches are challenging the status quo. They’re bringing innovation and hope to a large swath of families. At this stage, regardless of the outcome, I believe these challenger approaches are important for showing what is possible.

My support for school choice is unequivocal. Where available, education savings accounts (ESAs) can help eligible families access those choices.

That doesn’t mean existing schools have no future.

My work at Clicked left me convinced that simulations could help higher education close the experience gap. More work-integrated models could go further. Others might focus less on careers and more on community and purpose.

I’m intrigued by these radically different approaches to K–12 and higher education, and by the opportunity to bring my generalist founder mentality to these new challenger models.
